Goldsmith College Consulting Helps Students Develop Themselves From the Inside Out
With a background in mental health, experience in the nonprofit community, and story-telling intensive work as a national trial lawyer, Jill helps students develop themselves so they are successful in college admissions and beyond.
Jill uses strength-based approaches to:
help students identify, develop, and lean into their strengths, passions, and interests on their school campus and in the community;
support students’ efforts to get out of their comfort zone and take risks to try new things, along with strategies for resilience and cope with anxiety and stress associated with growth and change;
educate families about what colleges seek in an applicant to help them develop options, avoid inadvertently closing doors, or making costly mistakes;
prepare a strategic timeline for testing and college visits;
work with students to identify college majors and colleges and universities where students can thrive and reach their goals;
help students think deeply and reflectively on their strengths, insights, values, and character to prepare essays that stand out from the crowd;
motivate, hold the student accountable, keep the student focused on the applications, and prepare for interviews;
help reduce the tension by and between parents and students that often develops during the application and selection process;
help college students prepare for graduate school or begin their career.
